Thankful Thursday

Today, I am thankful for truths such as this, from Psalm 56:

You have kept count of my tossings;
put my tears in your bottle.
Are they not in your book?
Then my enemies will turn back
in the day when I call.
This I know, that God is for me.
10 In God, whose word I praise,
in the Lord, whose word I praise,
11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.
What can man do to me?

Just getting my first cup of coffee. Coffee and the Psalms in the morning; nothing goes together better, and this portion has always been a favorite of mine. So now I will get my Bible and do some Psalms for morning devotions.
Thanks.

I read this passage a couple of days ago, and it never fails to comfort and amaze me. The intimacy portrayed in keeping count of our tossings and our tears is beyond fathom. Mine are many, and He knows each one. I'm going to think about that today, and praise Him for it.

What an amazing, caring God we have! Such comfort in that Psalm!

Mmmm... We are also so apt to forget this, and toss as if He hears us not. If only I were more cognizant, that my every ache be extended and cast, than great remembrances could be made for every faithful answer given. Thank you for this reminder.
