The beauty of "draft"
Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:20AM I have a whole bunch of draft posts here at my blog. I write them with the possibility of posting them. Sometimes, I will sit on them for days and refine them as the days wear on.
And then, I don't post them.
Why?
There is something cathartic for me about writing these things down. Writing, for me, is a process whereby I sort through things. I need to write things down to understand them. A lot of the posts I write which are left in "draft" are about things that are controversial. The blog world doesn't need my little bitty 0.02 cents' worth of dialogue about such issues, and the line between being a woman with strong opinions and a shrew is very fine. I think we as women need to understand that.
And so, I'm thankful for the beauty of "draft," which gives me the space to get these thoughts out, but which save me from myself, and spares you, the reader, from potentially unedifying material.
The "draft," function; may I use it more often, and may I use it to its fullest.

I feel the same way! I like the ability to think through things over time, and the draft folder keeps me from knee-jerk responses.
"the line between being a woman with strong opinions and a shrew is very fine" I can't stop laughing Kim.
