Thankful Thursday
Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:19AM At this moment, I'm thankful that the internet is up and running again. It died right in the middle of my last post... grrr... we've had so many issues with this provider. I'm thankful it was only a couple of hours, and not all day.
I'm thankful for my 20 year old coming home again. Soon the school year will start up and he won't be home as often, so this is nice. He's also taking back to school with him one never used George Foreman grill and a deep fryer. Yay! He's helping me de-clutter. I'm a little concerned about the deep fryer. He seems to think food only tastes good when it's deep fried. He's almost six feet and lucky to be 130 pounds soaking wet, so he can afford it .... now, that is. Still, it's better than eating nothing but cookies and party mix.
I'm thankful that tomorrow my husband has cleared his schedule and is taking me out for the day; just the two of us. He loves to drive, and I like going on drives, so we're headed to the Niagara Escarpment to see some gorgeous waterfalls. There will be picture ops, hopefully a little antique store along the way, and a place to eat yummy food which I don't prepare.
I'm thankful for gorgeous late summer weather. I love late summer! It reminds me of my chidlhood. I'm thankful I have lots of happy childhood memories.
I'm thankful that I have my first lesson for Sunday school already mapped out. It doesn't start until September 16, but it's better to be prepared now. I'm thankful for this opportunity to teach six weeks of introductory bible study methods. I'm thankful for those God has already determined will come.
I'm thankful for the group of wonderful ladies with which I'll be blogging at Out of the Ordinary. Soon, we will have our first post! I just love all of these ladies; they encourage and sharpen me daily.
I'm thankful for God's grace. It's something we truly must breathe in and breath out daily.
