I'm only in the introduction of Michael Reeves's book Delighting in the Trinity, and I've already got something I want to write in my notebook.
The Christian books that really fly off the shelves are the "how to" books, the ones that give you something immediate to do. And to the "how to" junkies, the thought of reading a book on the Trinity must feel like having to say "Theodore Oswaldtiwistle the thistle sifter sifted a sack of thistles" - rather hard going but pointless. Yet Christianity is not primarily about lifstyle change; it is about knowing God.
This is going to be good.
